Further Research

Further research is needed regarding to the manner of which professionals adequately incorporate the forgiveness concept into the education and psychotherapy domains. More research is necessary to assess which type of therapy session are most aligned with Enright's (2011), forgiveness model (group or individual). Further exploration may impact the inclusion of Enright’s forgiveness model, which will allow researchers/practitioners to have the ability to understand how this model can rectify adolescents levels of depression and other hindering emotions that they may encounter.  Enright’s forgiveness model places emphasis on how forgiveness can change a persons heart; there is still more research needed on how it can be universally integrated into all communities for good.
