Empirical Support
Baskin and Enright’s (2004) Intervention Studies on Forgiveness: A Meta-Analysis, is an analysis of nine published studies which investigated forgiveness interventions within counseling and the efficacy of such interventions.
After analyzing them it was decided to split them into three separate categories: decision-based, process-based, and process-based individual interventions. Baskin and Enright (2004) analyzed the three groups and acknowledge the effectiveness of forgiveness in the clinical and other counseling setup (Baskin and Enright, 2004).
