The Forgiveness Counseling Model needs more Biblical application throughout (verses referenced here and there, but it is significantly lacking rigorous Christian context and it can be applied to today). It would seem to be a significant benefit if the theory assimilated a much higher degree of detailed reflection in context to the walk of Jesus and all of the forgiveness mentioned throughout the new testament.
This forgiveness model involves God as a references, but it also includes other religions and this poses a significant problem for the Christian worldview (Exodus 34:14, Exodus 20:3-5, 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 1 Timothy 2:5).
The Holy Bible can provides wisdom than anyone needs for a forgiveness model or any other model of positive emotions/gestures. The inclusiveness of other religion’s is simply saying God is not sufficient or Enright does not want to offend people; either side is antithetical to God and His word.
