Faith & Cultural Dimensions

Enright’s forgiveness model addresses dissimilar religions and cultural dimensions.  Enright tested his forgiveness model around the world and it particularly focuses on the moral development of forgiveness (Enright, 2011).  It does a decent job with addressing the Christian faith and how it is very pertinent to forgiveness.  It utilizes a very strong Catholic approach, which tends to have many antithetical teachings to the Christian faith, which causes a disconnect.  It uses multiple religions to cover the vast cultures around the world, so that every community can utilize the model.  The forgiveness model addresses many of the different cultural dimensions and unfortunately, it covers several different religious dimensions of as well.
